Hi there and thank you for stopping by. I'm Ginger and I'm a creative. My journey started when I was a small child. Growing up on a lake in the country of Northern New York State, I had the outdoors, flowers, grass, wildlife, and water at my fingertips. My fondest memories are walking the stones in the creek, making mudpies and decorating them with wildflowers, being barefoot all the time, swimming and trapesing through the woods looking for treasures. Boho before boho was a thing I guess.

My Gypsē Elixir endeavor came to be during 2020. I was cooped up and needed to create. I started making my own skin care, lotions, smudge sticks and so many other things to pass the unsocial time. After giving them away to friends and family, it was often mentioned that my creations were loved them so much, I should share them with others. That's when this website, my Etsy shop and in person events started. Since that time, I've pivoted my focus after retiring from banking after 40 years and moving to the desert of Southern Nevada. Sales were not the same here as they were in the Northeast. I decided to take a silver smithing class and fell head over heals in love with the hands on process and creativity. Working with amazing and super talented mentors; manipulating sterling silver, mining my own stones, cutting and polishing, and creating beautiful heirloom pieces of jewelry from the rocks, gems and minerals that are so abundant in Nevada, just seemed to fit with my new lifestyle. I've also began a lapidary journey where I collect local rocks, gems, and minerals. Cutting them into beautiful pieces and polishing them to usable art that fit perfectly into each piece my jewelry.

Having visited the abundant, local mines for turquoise, agate, jasper and many other minerals, has given me the inspiration to create my pieces. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do; cherish them and pass them along as family heirloom pieces.
